Many people considered Cannabis to be a drug because of the psychoactive component mainly found in its leaves and flowers. Chemical research on Marijuana revealed the active chemicals to be Cannabinoids with several components including Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabichromene (CBC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). The only psychoactive compound is the THC which can be degraded by heat, light, and exposure to air.
In United States and Europe where there are licenses to grow Cannabis, growers cultivate Cannabis in a controlled environment for industrial and alternative medicinal uses. Cannabis is used to produce fibre, oil and other important products.
Cannabis or hemp seed oil, free of THC is considered the most balanced oil suitable for internal and external uses. It contains essential amino acids and essential fatty acids that are necessary for body metabolism. The oil has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It has been used in the treatment of chronic pain, cancer, spinal stenosis, severe osteoarthritic knees, etc.

A proper development. Marijuana is not a drug, well said. It’s useful to man. I use it as my main source of medication almost 3 decades now. It will make sense to legalise the cultivation in Nigeria.
